1953 XK 120 COUPE

1953 XK 120 Coupe

The clients brief was to have a competitive road car, and we achieved this. The car arrived with the usual  XK rust, requiring all new wood, steel, and aluminum from the waist down, all made in house. All new woodwork window surrounds, door caps, and dash board.  We did a lot of suspension revision and tuning; this bought the roll centre height very close to ground level resulting in a very neutral extremely good handling car. The 3.8 engine was fully reconditioned including polished crankshaft and rods, improved C-type head, 3/4 D- cams, tuned exhaust pipes and custom muffler. Brakes were upgraded with discs which sit well inside our design wire wheels. We made new bucket seats and custom leather upholstery, plus headlining and carpet both in wool.
